Counselor Profile
Selene Bonczok is a MA candidate in International Law at the Geneva Graduate Institute and holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated summa cum laude with Distinction in Political Science. Upon graduating, she received the Leo S. Rowe Prize for the best thesis on a topic of international relations, as well as the Rose Award for undergraduate research. Her research experience spans international economics, international relations, sociology, and Latin American and Middle East politics.
Selene has gained experience at international organizations such as Amnesty International and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. She is currently a professional intern at the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.
Selene has worked as a pedagogue and college mentor at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and at Penn’s Netter Center for Community Partnerships. Over the years, she has helped students from a wide range of disciplines better understand the admissions process, recognize what they bring to the table, and convey it in a way that is both authentic and memorable.
